Fitness Reporter was the idea of Rich Palmiere, a 33-year practicing middle school teacher from Sacramento, California. In 1991, after spending countless hours trying to figure out who won what award, Rich developed this software program to meet the needs of physical education teachers who own or have access to a Macintosh or Windows computer.

Fitness Reporter has evolved to where today it compiles and reports all the test scores from the new President’s Challenge Fitness Testing Program. The software package also includes a custom test program that you can use to design your own tests and a program called "Locks" for controlling and organizing locks and lockers.

• A hybrid CD-ROM that installs on either Macintosh or Windows machines. Will run on Windows XP, 2000, 98, and Me. Will run on Macintosh OSX, 9.2 and below. (Fitness Reporter will not run on a network – even with Filemaker 8.0 server and client software.)
• Single School Site License for every teacher and every computer at your school and at home.
• Used for ages 6 to 18 years.
• Easy fall and spring data entry forms or use the teacher clipboard worksheet form.
• Provides a fall and spring report for parents and students that denotes standards achieved and areas needing improvement.
• Quickly generates award lists denoting which awards the students have earned and the total number of awards at each level.
• Generates temporary award certificates.
• Prints out Top Achiever List for each test administered. The number of pages that print dictates how many students can be recognized.
• Fall and spring averages reported by sex and age and overall school average on each test.

• Automatic Body Mass Index calculated from height and weight; no skin fold test required.
• A custom test module that allows the user to create their own test or tests for students with special needs. The custom test can be used to follow the Fitnessgram® standards.
• A locks inventory program managing locker rooms.
• Easy to use importing feature for entering comma or tab deliminated demographics of students. Eliminates typing in individual student data.
